I checked online to understand their options and then stopped in. The person at the front desk (Dave) showed me a few units. We discussed a bit what I was in need of -- storage of long pieces of trim while we renovate a home -- and he directed me to a unit on the top level that was at the east end of the building with taller ceilings where I could then store the trim vertically, which was also conveniently next to stairs that made it easy to bring up long pieces of trim. This allows me to use the unit much more efficiently. I reserved that unit that day and officially rented it out a few days later. It's now been a week and I've mostly filled the unit (including a chair and couple other items in addition to the trim), which means it is no longer in my way in our renovation. Everything has been really smooth, the two folks I've interacted with on staff were very friendly and helpful, the building is nicely conditioned (temperature and humidity), and the building is also very clean. Five Star Storage is an easy "yes I recommend" for anyone looking for storage in the area.

The facility is always clean and wide open. I assume there is staff in the office, though I don't usually go there. However, we specifically went with this storage facility because we could park inside during the winter months in MN. Since early Dec, each time I go there, there are "Out Of Service" signs on the garage doors. If they were really "broken," they should have been fixed by now. I think they just don't want to let the cold air in, which 100% defeats the purpose of offering indoor services.

Needed last minute storage ASAP. Called cause I was having trouble processing on cell. Customer service rep over phone was terrible, but she was not at the facility locally. 15 min after signing up and not being able to complete lease on cell a very nice gentleman from exact local site called and followed up with me. Super knowledgeable, super helpful and made sure I knew exactly where I was going and how everything worked. Cold water on a hot moving day in lobby was also a very welcomed touch.
