Job Description: Accountant
The Accountant is responsible for assisting the CFO in daily and monthly accounting duties. This role encompasses a variety of property accounting duties. Dedication to excellence is important for our success.
Responsibilities
- Oversee Accounting Assistant to ensure duties are completed correctly and in a timely manner.
- Process payroll
- Process Accounts Payable and delegating to Accounting Assistant.
- .
- Enter invoices into NetSuite accounting program for payment.
- Monitor variances in utility billing
- Process any auto payment invoices in Net Suite accounting program.
- Monitor cell phone billing and process payment monthly; ensuring employees are billed during first payroll of the month.
- Reconcile credit cards billing and enter in NetSuite
- Reconcile Blue Cross statements
- Print checks as needed
- Compile and enter annual budgets
- Work with COO, DM’s and Facilities Manager for Repairs & Maintenance spend
- Work with CTO for all technology spend
- Work with Director of Marketing for all marketing spend
- Process property tax statements Emailing all Capital Expenditure invoices to COO for approval
- Update property tax worksheets
- Process all Capital Expenditure invoices
- Requires COO / Director of Construction & Development approval
- Record all Capital Expenditures on both Cap Ex worksheets
- Review monthly financials for accuracy
- Send Repairs & Maintenance monthly budgets/actuals financial statements to COO, DM’s and Facilities Manager.

Qualifications:
- Strong written and verbal communication, problem solving, and leadership skills with a friendly, empathetic approach to customer interactions.
- Proficient in using computer applications and databases for data entry and retrieval.
- Effective under pressure, with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
